Coface names Zach Spencer head of APAC risk underwriting

He will implement Coface’s underwriting policies in the region.

Coface has appointed Zach Spencer as head of risk underwriting for APAC, effective 1 October 2026.

Spencer will relocate to Singapore and will lead Coface’s risk underwriting teams across the region.

He is tasked with implementing Coface’s underwriting policies, developing the team’s capabilities, and maintaining high standards of risk analysis, portfolio monitoring, and operational performance, the company said in an announcement on 1 October.

Spencer was most recently North America head of claims and debt collection. He served as vice president and head of risk underwriting for Canada from 2021 to 2025 and first joined Coface Canada in 2020.

He reports to Raphael Rousselot, chief underwriting officer for APAC, and Anca Dan, group head of risk underwriting.
