Sun Life Philippines pays $84m in claims in 2025

Policy maturities added another P3.17b in customer payouts during 2025.

Sun Life Philippines paid more than $84.0m (P5.25b) in insurance claims in 2025, which is the cumulative total of claims paid by the insurer and its bancassurance arm, Sun Life Grepa Financial Inc.

The insurer also paid $50.7m (P3.17b) in policy maturities during the year.

“Every claim we pay represents a promise fulfilled to a Client or family who counted on us during an important moment in their lives,” said JJ Moreno, Country Head and CEO of Sun Life Philippines. “It reflects our commitment to providing financial support when it matters most.”

The company said it continued this trend in 2026, paying more than $32.0m (P2b) in claims and releasing $22.4m (P1.4b) in policy maturities between January and May.
