Liberty Insurance brings home two wins at Insurance Asia Awards 2025

It won the Auto Insurance Initiative of the Year - Vietnam and the Technology Excellence Initiative of the Year - Vietnam categories.

Liberty Insurance Limited, a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual Insurance, headquartered in Boston, US, took home two major accolades at the prestigious Insurance Asia Awards 2025 for its flagship AutoCare product that has introduced specialised benefits for electronic vehicle owners, as well as its success in driving customer-centric digital innovation through its HealthCare products and e-Claim.

Innovation in auto insurance: Empowering the shift to green mobility


Seizing a strong shift toward environmental awareness consumption, Liberty Insurance’s AutoCare includes coverage for electric vehicle batteries and flood damage protection. This flagship product comes amidst many Vietnamese survey respondents indicating their desire to purchase hybrid or electric vehicles in the next three years.

Additionally, the company is amongst the few insurers offering coverage during the vehicle registration and inspection period, a critical differentiator that empowers customers to embrace green mobility with confidence and peace of mind.

At the heart of these milestones is Liberty’s multi-functional, 24/7 toll-free hotline that provides immediate assistance for insurance inquiries, claims support, and emergency roadside services. The company is amongst the first non-life insurers in Vietnam to offer round-the-clock claims support, setting a new industry benchmark for service reliability and customer engagement.

The insurance firm also actively fosters safer driving behaviours by delivering regular safety tips and rewarding customers with premium discounts upon policy renewal for maintaining good driving records. At the same time, its proactive customer care system enhances road safety by sending real-time alerts on weather hazards, flooding risks, and road dangers via SMS and instant messaging.

These initiatives create a distinctive and comprehensive customer experience, fostering stronger engagement and deepening brand loyalty beyond traditional insurance expectations.

As part of its ongoing innovation, Liberty Insurance recently launched a mini application on Zalo, Vietnam’s most widely used OTT messaging platform. This tool enables agents to instantly generate quotations and issue certificates, streamlining the customer experience. Powered by Liberty’s advanced technology, the application reflects the company’s commitment to equipping agents with cutting-edge tools to deliver faster, smarter, and more comprehensive protection, right on a familiar, local platform.

It bagged the Auto Insurance Initiative of the Year - Vietnam for the success of its AutoCare initiative and its other solutions focusing on road safety.

Revolutionising health insurance through technology

Meanwhile, Liberty’s HealthCare product also stands amongst Vietnam’s most premium health insurance solutions. It uniquely offers immediate protection for customers, setting a new standard for customer-centric benefits.

It is revamped to be more comprehensive with expanding coverage limits and having more flexible choices of coverage scopes focussing on mid- to high-tier segmentation to suit the financial status of customers and leverage all sales channels.

Similarly, e-Claim is amongst Vietnam’s first dedicated online health insurance claims portal for health insurance policyholders. This initiative directly addresses customers’ growing preference for digital-first solutions. Following its launch, online claims submissions have surged to 70% compared to traditional postal claims. This rapid adoption signals high customer satisfaction, enhanced accessibility, and successful digital integration.
