Raymond Ong
As the firm's CEO, Raymond brings to Etiqa a demonstrated track record of strategic leadership with more than 27 years of experience in the financial services and insurance industry, having held a broad range of senior management roles during his career, with experience in actuarial, product development, risk management, and strategic finance.
A qualified actuary, he started his career with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics (1st Class Honours) from the Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK.
Raymond has participated in several workgroups at the industry level, including being a member of the Risk Management Working Group of the Institute of Banking and Finance, supporting the MAS-LIA Insurance Culture and Conduct Committee, and being on the Green Finance Working Group of the MAS Financial Centre Advisory Panel.
Salil Bhatnagar
Salil Bhatnagar is the Chief Distribution Officer - HSBC Channel at Canara HSBC Life Insurance. A founding member of the company, he has worked across sales, training, strategy, and business development.
Bhatnagar has worked with HSBC Insurance Asia Pacific Holdings in Hong Kong as a sales training head, where he dovetailed the high-performance sales model in key Asia Pacific markets.
He brings over 33 years of cross-functional experience in consumer durables, telecom, consulting, and the life insurance industry, where he has managed profit centres and large sales teams.
Bhatnagar is a Delhi University graduate with a Diploma in International Trade from Apeejay Institute (Delhi) and MBA from IMI (Delhi).

Tom Baker and Jan Pagan
Tom Baker is Markel International’s head of sustainable energy, running a global portfolio of onshore wind, offshore wind, solar and battery storage projects. He has been based in Singapore for the past 5 years and has been involved in some of the largest wind energy projects across the APAC region in that time.
Jan Pagan is Markel International’s risk engineer for renewable energy projects, having previously worked as an offshore wind mechanical engineer for a large European developer. Jan has also worked adjusting losses for renewable energy projects and uses that experience to help clients mitigate losses on their projects.
Violet Chung, Dino Ho, Brandon Ho, Marcus Roth
Violet Chung is a partner in McKinsey’s Hong Kong office, where Dino Ho is a senior expert. Brandon Ho is based in Singapore at QuantumBlack, a McKinsey company. Marcus Roth is a partner in the Tokyo office.
William KN Chan
William KN Chan is the chief investment officer for HSBC Insurance Hong Kong. William has over two-and-a-half decades of experience in the investment and asset management industry.
Prior to joining HSBC Insurance, he was Head of FX, Global Fixed Income at UBS Asset Management in the UK, and has previously held a number of positions across the HSBC Asset Management business.
William attended the University of Hong Kong and has an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics & Political Science. He holds both CFA and FRM designations, and has published articles on portfolio strategy in the Pensions & Investments and MTA Journals.
