HKFI appoints Winnie Wong as new chair

The federation has also appointed a new governing committee.

The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (HKFI) has recently appointed Winnie Wong as the new chairperson of its newly appointed Governing Committee for the term 2022 to 2023.

Wong has over 20 years’ experience in Insurance and Risk Management Consulting and is a recognized industry expert, regularly speaking at a number of industry conferences and is very active in the insurance industry and community.

She also serves as a councillor at the General Insurance Council and serves as the Chairman of Task Force on Insurance-linked Securities.

Wong is the CEO & Executive Director of Asia Insurance Company Limited and Avo Insurance Company Limited. Prior to Asia Insurance, she was the CEO of Aon Risk Solutions Hong Kong/Macau and Assistant General Manager of Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance. 

Established in August 1988, the HKFI enjoys full recognition by the HKSAR Government as the representative insurer body of the industry. It exists to promote insurance to the people of Hong Kong and build consumer confidence in the industry by promoting high standards of ethics and professionalism amongst its members.
