Lexasure partners up with Blimobil for wider insurance offerings

Lexasure will make an investment in Blimobil.

Lexasure Financial Group Limited and PT Nawa Carciege Indonesia (Blimobil) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a proposed strategic partnership which aims to expand their insurance products in Indonesia.

Provider of reinsurance and insurtech in South and Southeast Asia, Lexasure, will invest in the Indonesian auto market digital trading platform, Blimobil.

“[Both parties] will offer access to insurance products, including car insurance, usage-based auto insurance, home appliance, auto extended warranty insurance, and guaranteed asset protection (GAP) insurance,” Lexasure stated.

Other than the new and diversified insurance offerings, back-end digital onboarding solutions and claims management will also be provided by Lexasure.

This will be applicable toward reinsurance capabilities such as personal cybersecurity insurance, personal accident, electronic products, extended warranty, pet insurance, and other lifestyle insurance.

“The creation of the proposed strategic partnership is subject to the negotiation of definitive agreements with customary closing conditions, including regulatory approval,” Lexasure said.
