Zurich collaborates with APSN for adults with special needs training

It will provide vocational training opportunities for individuals with mild intellectual disabilities.

Zurich Singapore, in collaboration with the Z Zurich Foundation, has announced a two-year partnership with APSN (Association for Persons with Special Needs) aimed at enhancing vocational training opportunities for individuals with mild intellectual disabilities.

This collaboration underscores the shared commitment between Zurich Singapore and APSN to create an inclusive and supportive environment that empowers individuals with special needs to achieve their full potential.

As part of the collaboration, Zurich Singapore and the Z Zurich Foundation will provide funding, skills, resources, and advocacy to support APSN's vocational training programs and skills development curriculum.

The focus will be on the APSN Centre for Adults (CFA), a sheltered workshop dedicated to empowering individuals with special needs, particularly young adults with mild intellectual disabilities, through tailored vocational programs.

APSN's training and placement model, which has enabled trainees to maintain employment for over 12 months, will benefit from the financial investment and volunteering commitment provided by Zurich and the Z Zurich Foundation.

The collaboration is expected to create additional capacity within APSN CFA's programs and services for individuals with higher support needs, positively impacting more families and trainees.

The collaboration formalizes an existing relationship between Zurich Singapore and APSN, which focuses on volunteering and fundraising activities. Zurich Singapore will actively engage its employees in various opportunities to support APSN, including weekly volunteering programs, philanthropy, and advocacy initiatives.
