Chubb and M1 introduce travel insurance benefit for mobile roamers

New subscribers can enrol for free six-month overseas protection from Chubb.

Chubb Insurance Singapore has partnered with telecommunications company M1 Limited, which aims to extend complimentary overseas accident protection to all new subscribers of M1's Daily and Data Passport roaming plans, applicable across more than 70 destinations worldwide.

M1's Daily and Data Passport roaming plans are tailored to provide customers with convenient and cost-effective data connectivity while travelling abroad.

New subscribers opting for these roaming plans will now have the opportunity to enrol for complimentary 6-month Overseas Accident Protection offered by Chubb.

For S$2.95 for 3GB of roaming data per day with an M1 Daily Passport or S$15 per destination with Data Passport, eligible customers can avail themselves of the complimentary coverage. 

The coverage encompasses accidental death or permanent disablement, with a payout of up to S$5,000, as well as reimbursement for accidental medical expenses of up to S$100. 

Moreover, the protection extends globally, excluding sanctioned countries, providing 24-hour coverage.

To qualify for the complimentary coverage, customers must be Singapore Residents aged between 18 and 65 years old.
