QBE Insurance unveils global cyber policy for broader protection

The coverage will be offered in five APAC markets.

QBE Insurance launched a cyber policy which aims to enhance resilience for a wider range of clients globally.

The QCyberProtect offers coverage for losses from current and emerging cyber risks, including network security, privacy liability, IT and non-IT business interruptions, and reputational loss.

QCyberProtect is available in Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Netherlands, Singapore, Sweden, UAE, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam, with plans to launch in more countries throughout the year.

Andrew Horton, Group CEO of QBE Insurance said in a press release “This offering highlights our commitment to delivering globally consistent and practical solutions that address the ever-evolving cyber risks our customers face around the world.”

QCyberProtect serves a range of organisations, from mid-sized companies with outsourced IT to global corporations with complex IT systems.

QBE is also implementing QCyberPrepare, a cyber saferoom available globally, where customers can launch their incident response plan on a secure platform with secure messaging.

This tool empowers organisations to be connected, confident, and in control before, during, and after a cyber crisis.
