Cambodia’s gross premiums dip 0.85% YoY in June

The life insurance market’s contraction was offset by its general insurance.

Cambodia’s gross premiums inched down 0.85% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis in June to $28.47m, attributable to a contraction in life insurance but was offset by general insurance coverage.

The life industry fell 3.93% YoY to $16.8m, whilst the number of policies also dipped 4.68% to 80,509.

Its general insurance market climbed 3.95% YoY to $11.7m, however, its number of policies contracted 36.8% YoY to 20,124 during the period.
