HDI Global appoints new CFO from Munich Re subsidiary

He has 25 years of experience within the Munich Re Group.

HDI Global has appointed Stefan Pasternak as its new chief financial officer (CFO). He succeeds Christian Hermelingmeier currently CFO of HDI Global SE, who will become CFO of Hannover Re on 1 April 2025. 

Pasternak is presently CFO of Great Lakes Insurance SE, a Munich Re subsidiary specialising in complex risks.

Pasternak has 25 years of experience within the Munich Re Group, 17 of which were in leadership roles. 

His career includes CFO positions at ERGO Grubu in Turkey and ERGO DAUM in South Korea, as well as roles in London and Milan.

Hermelingmeier, who has held the CFO role at HDI Global SE since September 2020, also serves as Chairman of the Board of HDI Reinsurance Ireland SE.
