Cambodian insurers’ premiums climb 5.3% growth in September
The number of policies in the general insurance market dwindled by 19.1%.
The gross premiums of Cambodia’s insurers inched up 5.3% year-on-year (YoY) in September, garnering $28.5m, data from the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia showed.
However, gross premiums in September were smaller than the $32.22m in August.
The life industry expanded by 8.7% YoY to $17.4m, whilst the number of policies climbed 7.5% to 83,208.
Similarly, its general insurance sector was neutral at 0.3% YoY to $11.1m. Whilst the number of policies landslide 19.1% YoY to 22,278 during the period.
