AI and data at the core of Prudential’s tech strategy

Cloud, AI, and data are driving Prudential’s tech-led evolution.

As part of its tech-driven transformation, Prudential is implementing cloud, AI, and data strategies to improve efficiency and customer experiences, according to Anette Bronder, Chief Technology & Operations Officer.

Bronder, who joined Prudential in May, has focused on uniting technology with operations to build a digitally robust foundation for the insurer.

“When I joined, we had already…a very clear tech and data strategy,” Bronder explained. “We are moving, consequently, into the cloud. This is one of our key components to enable the whole transformation of Prudential.”

In addition to cloud adoption, Bronder has emphasised an AI-driven approach for operational efficiency. “We are using AI to enable our sales, the agents, our bank account partners…to help them to prepare their customer meetings, to have direct access to all the products and to personalise the products and the services for our customers,” she noted.

Data strategy is another cornerstone of Prudential’s transformation. “We uplifted our data strategy…breaking down the data silos, to be able to have an end-to-end view on our customers,” Bronder said, allowing Prudential to provide more personalised, insight-driven services.

As Prudential advances its AI and cloud strategies, Bronder envisions further industry-wide changes, with automation transforming traditionally manual processes. “We are moving out of…the experimentation phase,” she stated, signalling a shift from testing to scaling impactful AI solutions across Prudential’s global operations.
