Cambodia’s life insurance policies doubled in October
The industry saw $25m in gross premiums for the month.
Cambodian insurers saw their gross premiums in October increase by 4.11% year-on-year (YoY) to $25m, data from the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia showed.
However, this was smaller than the $28.5m from September.
The life industry expanded by 6.14% YoY to $15.8m, whilst the number of policies climbed more than doubled (136.8% YoY) to 160,626.
Similarly, its general insurance sector minimally increased by 0.8% YoY to $9.2m. Whilst the number of policies jumped 12.6% YoY to 30,289 during the period.
