India's non-life insurance slightly dips by 0.33% in December
On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, the industry jumped 7.82%.
India’s non-life insurance sector minimally fell 0.33% year-on-year (YoY) in December, with general insurers recording a contraction of 1.58% YoY, data from the General Insurance Council showed.
Standalone health insurers saw their premiums climb 5.19% YoY.
On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, the industry jumped 7.82% YoY. Specialised insurers’ premiums, on the other hand, dipped 0.45% YoY.
Standalone health insurers saw their premiums jump 18.74% whilst general insurers climbed 6.85% YoY.
