Philippine Crop Insurance to disburse farmer payments via GCash

Farmers no longer required to visit PCIC offices.

Philippine Crop Insurance Corp. (PCIC) and G-Xchange, Inc. have partnered to enable Philippine farmers to receive indemnity payouts through GCash.

“This means farmers can receive indemnity payments, without the hassle of going to PCIC offices and check distribution activities, and encashing their checks,” an announcement stated.

PCIC President JB Jovy Bernabe said the partnership will improve the distribution of indemnity payments by eliminating the need for farmers to visit PCIC offices or attend check distribution events.
