Cambodia’s December gross premiums increase by 9.4% YoY

This was larger than the previous month’s $25.6m.

Cambodian insurers saw their gross premiums in December jump by 9.4% year-on-year (YoY) to $33.6m, data from the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia showed.

This was larger than the previous month’s $25.6m.

The life industry surged by 6.7% YoY to $20.3m, whilst the number of policies more than quadrupled (326% YoY) to307,592

Similarly, its general insurance sector increased by 13.8% YoY to $13.3m. Meanwhile, the number of policies contracted 31.3% YoY to 16,845 during the period.
