Sun Life reels new CHRO for Asia

She joins from RSA, where she served as Chief People Officer.

Sun Life has appointed Georgina Farrell as Chief Human Resources Officer for Asia, effective 1 May. 

She will lead the company’s talent and culture strategy in the region, focusing on talent development, organisational growth, and employee engagement to support Sun Life’s expansion in Asia.  

Farrell joins from RSA, where she served as Chief People Officer for the UK, Ireland, and Europe, playing a key role in developing an integrated people strategy to drive business growth. 

With over 20 years of HR leadership experience across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, she has a track record of building high-performing teams and aligning people initiatives with business priorities.  

Based in Sun Life’s regional headquarters in Hong Kong, Farrell will be part of the Asia Executive Team and HR Executive Team, reporting to Helena Pagano, EVP, Chief People & Culture Officer, and Manjit Singh. 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Politics from University College Dublin and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Dublin Institute of Technology.
