Sun Life Malaysia Takaful announces new CEO

He succeeds Jeffry Azmi, who has retired.  

Sun Life Malaysia appointed Noor Azam bin Mohd Yusof as the Chief Executive Officer of Sun Life Malaysia Takaful Berhad (SLMT). 

He succeeds Jeffry Azmi, who has retired.  

Azam Yusof has over 25 years of experience in the conventional and takaful insurance sectors, specialising in sales and marketing, bancassurance and bancatakaful, agency management, business development, and strategic transformation. 

Before joining Sun Life Malaysia, he was the CEO of a leading family takaful operator since 2017. 

As CEO of SLMT, he will oversee all aspects of the business, including Syariah compliance and governance. 

He will also lead the implementation of SLMT’s business strategy to strengthen its position as a key bancatakaful player in Malaysia.  

Azam Yusof holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s in Business Administration from MARA University of Technology.
