Indonesian association, Gadjah Mada University ink deal for upskilling

The collaboration aims to address the shortage of actuarial professionals.

The General Insurance Association of Indonesia (AAUI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) to enhance education, research, and community service in the insurance sector.

Under the partnership, AAUI and UGM will organise seminars, workshops, and internship programs to equip students specialising in mathematics and actuarial sciences with industry-relevant skills.

The collaboration aims to address the shortage of actuarial professionals in Indonesia’s general insurance industry and support compliance with Financial Services Authority (OJK) regulations.
