Canopius bolsters APAC team with new head

He has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Canopius Group has appointed Paul Hackett as regional head of Distribution for Asia-Pacific (APAC), effective 1 March. 

He will take on the role in addition to his current position as Head of Marine for APAC and the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) and will also join the APAC Executive Committee.  

Hackett will report to Canopius APAC and MENA CEO Soon Keen (SK) Lee and Canopius Group Chief Underwriting Officer Sam Harrison. 

His responsibilities will include overseeing the company's APAC distribution strategy and strengthening broker engagement across the region.  

Hackett has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, with expertise in marine and specialty lines.
