Generali earnings reach $5b in FY 2024

Gross written premiums rose by 14.9% YoY.

Generali’s fiscal year 2024 (FY 2024) earnings marginally increased by 1.1% year-on-year (YoY) to $4.58b (€4.2b).

Gross written premiums rose by 14.9% YoY to $103.77b (€95.2b), driven by strong growth in both the Life segment (+19.2% YoY) and Property & Casualty (P&C) segment (+7.7% YoY).

New business value (NBV) for the life segment in Asia surged 49.2% YoY to $204.92m (€188m). Similarly, the operating result of the P&C segment increased by 8.7% YoY.

Proposed dividend per share for the period stood at $1.56 (€1.43) (+11.7% YoY).
