Transamerica Life Bermuda appoints Kristine Ung as CEO

She has held senior roles at AIG, AIA, Chubb and Kismet Solutions.

Hong Kong-headquartered Transamerica Life Bermuda (TLB) has appointed Kristine Ung as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 May.

Ung brings over 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial services sectors, with a focus on the high-net-worth (HNW) market. 

She has held senior roles at AIG, AIA, Chubb, and most recently served as managing Partner at Kismet Solutions. 

She is familiar with Aegon, having previously worked at Transamerica in the US, assisted in securing TLB’s license, and helped build its Singapore management team.

At TLB, she will focus on sustainable growth and advancing the company’s goal of becoming one of the top three global HNW life insurers.

Her appointment aligns with TLB’s expansion strategy, marked by the Dubai Financial Services Authority’s approval of a representative office in the Dubai International Financial Centre. 

Adnan Ladki was recently appointed Head of DIFC for TLB to lead operations in the region.
