Taiwan’s life insurers post $2.22b in foreign policy sales

Taiwan’s life insurance industry recorded $2.22b (NT$67.354b) in premium revenues from new foreign-currency denominated policies as of the end of February 2025, marking a 41% increase year-on-year (YoY), data from the Insurance Bureau showed.
Investment-linked insurance products generated $311m (NT$9.42b), accounting for approximately 14% of the total.
This segment saw a sharp year-on-year increase of 122% from $140m (NT$4.248b).
Traditional insurance products remained the dominant category, contributing $1.91b (NT$57.934b), or 86% of total foreign-currency policy sales.
This represents a 33% rise from $1.44b (NT$43.56b) year-on-year.
