Dai-ichi Life, Capgemini set up tech centre to support global IT
Dai-ichi Life aims to eventually bring operations in-house.
Capgemini and Dai-ichi Life Holdings have signed a multi-year agreement to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India, aimed at accelerating Dai-ichi Life Group's global digital transformation.
The GCC will support the group’s IT and digital strategies by tapping into India’s talent pool.
The initiative is intended to enhance in-house digital capabilities and improve technology platforms across operations in Japan, the United States, and Australia, with the option to expand further based on business needs.
Under a Build-Operate-Transfer model, Capgemini will initially manage the centre, focusing on software development, infrastructure modernisation, AI and data solutions, and cybersecurity.
Dai-ichi Life aims to eventually bring operations in-house to strengthen internal capabilities.
