AXA Hong Kong and Macau unveil typhoon parametric cover for MOTOGO members

It also unveiled a travel insurance coverage of up to $38,220.21.

AXA Hong Kong and Macau and MOTOGO have partnered to introduce two insurance solutions provided at no cost to eligible MOTOGO members under Dah Chong Hong Motors.

The coverages include the market's first typhoon parametric insurance – Tropical Cyclone Coverage - and a new cross-boundary travel insurance – MOTOGO Care – Guangdong and Macau Travel Insurance, which aims to improve protection for car owners amidst challenging weather conditions and expanding regional travel.

Tropical Cyclone Coverage, launched on 17 July ahead of Typhoon Wipha, provides automatic benefit payouts when Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 9 or above is issued for a set period, with no claims process required.

Payouts are given in MOTOS points, redeemable for motor services, experiences, and gifts on the MOTOGO platform.

The travel plan offers coverage of up to $38,220.21 (HK$300,000) for medical expenses, along with protection for travel delays, missed events, and journey curtailment for customers travelling in Guangdong and Macau.

($1.00 = HK$7.85)
