Prudential Hong Kong posts fourth quarter of double-digit APE growth
New Business Profit (NBP) rose 16% YoY.
Prudential Hong Kong Limited (PHKL) posted its fourth straight quarter of double-digit growth in Annualised Premium Equivalent (APE) sales, with total APE for the first half of 2025 reaching $1.09b, up 13% year-on-year (YoY).
New Business Profit (NBP) rose 16% YoY.
PHKL remained the largest contributor to Prudential plc, accounting for 42% of the group’s NBP in the first half of the year.
NBP from domestic customers grew 17% YoY, whilst sales from Mainland Chinese visitors rose 15%.
Bancassurance delivered a 28% YoY rise in NBP, supported by PHKL’s partnership with Standard Chartered Bank.
The agency channel posted 15% YoY growth in NBP, boosted by the recruitment of more than 2,600 new financial consultants during the period.
