Aon names ex-BNP Paribas banker as enterprise client leader in Japan
Shinji Kuriyama brings 30 years of experience working in the financial services sector.
Aon plc has appointed Shinji Kuriyama as enterprise client leader, Asia Pacific in Japan, effective immediately.
Kuriyama is tasked with leading Aon’s relationships globally with its Japanese clients, providing risk capital and human capital solutions.
He is based in Tokyo and reports to Craig Torgius, chief client officer and head of enterprise clients, Asia Pacific. He is also expected to work closely with Tatsuya “Jake” Yamamoto, Aon's CEO of Japan.
Kuriyama brings over 30 years of experience working in the financial services sector. He has held leadership positions at BNP Paribas, Wells Fargo, and Citigroup both in Japan and the US.
He was most recently managing director and head of corporate coverage at BNP Paribas Japan.
He also helped launch and scale Wells Fargo’s corporate banking business in Japan, according to Aon’s press release.
