Oona Insurance introduces flexible coverage for Filipinos abroad

Oona members have cashless access to over 650 hospitals and clinics nationwide.

Oona Insurance has launched two flagship health plans designed for Filipino families seeking flexible coverage both in the Philippines and abroad.

The new products, Global Shield and Purple Shield, were unveiled on 1 October.

Global Shield offers worldwide coverage of up to $2m, whilst Purple Shield provides up to ~$86,000 (₱5m) in local coverage.

Global Shield targets globally mobile Filipinos with access to hospitals and specialists worldwide, including options for treatment in Singapore and other regional centers.

Purple Shield is a peso-based plan for families seeking affordable protection and access to quality care within the Philippines.

The insurer said both products address rising medical costs and the growing need for accessible private healthcare.

Through partnerships with MediLink and Doctor Anywhere, Oona members have cashless access to over 650 hospitals and clinics nationwide, 24/7 online consultations with more than 750 doctors, and the option to consult international health providers.
