Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance names Eric Schaap to lead broker ties

Schaap will report to Keisuke Ema.

Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance and MSIG Asia appointed Eric Schaap as Senior Vice President and Global Broker Engagement Manager, a new role aimed at strengthening the insurer’s partnerships with brokers worldwide.

Based in Singapore, Schaap will report to Keisuke Ema, General Manager of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance’s International Business Department in Tokyo, and to Clemens Philippi, CEO of MSIG Asia.

With over 20 years of experience in insurance and analytics, Schaap will lead efforts to align broker strategies across markets and use data insights to identify growth opportunities.
