Clyde & Co names Patrick Peng to lead China corporate
Peng joins from the Hong Kong Insurance Authority.
Clyde & Co has appointed Patrick Peng as partner and head of Corporate for Greater China.
Peng joins from the Hong Kong Insurance Authority, where he was Acting General Counsel.
Peng spent more than eight years at the regulator and played a key role in developing Hong Kong’s captive domicile, insurance-linked securities, risk-based capital, group-wide supervision, and company re-domiciliation regimes.
His regulatory experience spans life and non-life insurance, corporate governance, licensing, market conduct, and policy development.
He previously worked as a corporate lawyer at international law firms, advising financial institutions on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, portfolio transfers, IPOs, and other corporate matters.
He also lectures part-time at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong and serves as Vice-President of the Guangdong Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Actuarial and Insurance Industry Academy, as well as a Director of The Hong Kong Insurance Law Association.
