Allianz Malaysia names Giulio Slavich as new life CEO

Slavich joined Allianz Malaysia in 2022 as CFO.

Allianz Malaysia Berhad (Allianz Malaysia) announced the appointment of Giulio Slavich as the new CEO of its life insurance arm, Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad (Allianz Life).

His appointment, effective 1 January, 2026, takes over Charles Ong, who will retire on 31 December 2025 after more than three decades in the insurance industry.

Slavich joined Allianz Malaysia in 2022 as CFO, where he oversaw financial reporting and sustainability, led the group’s implementation of IFRS 9 and IFRS 17, and supported the company’s agency transformation efforts. 

Before moving to Malaysia, he held senior roles within Allianz Group, including Global head of the Centre for Competence for Life & Health at Allianz SE and head of the Life segment at Allianz Italy.
