Navi rolls out motor insurance offering in India

The service is available for EVs and offers tailored pricing.

Navi General Insurance has unveiled a motor insurance offering.

The insurance is offered through a fully digital, app-led journey. Customers can purchase comprehensive, own-damage, or third-party policies for cars and two-wheelers directly on the Navi app, according to a press release.

Customers will have access to a technology enabled internal claims team, and data analytics that offer pricing tailored to individual profiles.

The motor insurance is also available for electric vehicles (EVs), including two-wheelers and four-wheelers.

Navi promises a “zero-commission model”, a departure from the traditional market that features intermediary commissions.

Motor insurance makes up nearly 30% to 35% of total industry premiums in India’s general insurance market, according to Navi.
