How Ping An Health grew as AI cut consultation costs 45%
The decline was recorded in the fourth quarter of 2025 as automation deepened.
Ping An Healthcare and Technology Company Limited saw its fiscal year 2025 record a profit attributable to owners of the parent of RMB379.5m, up 366.1% year-on-year (YoY).
Revenue from the commercial insurance enablement business (F-end) reached RMB3.3b, representing a YoY increase of 11.0%.
Within its commercial insurance enablement business, the company provides integrated healthcare services to retail customers of Ping An Group.
It said first-year premiums per new policy increased by 1.5 times for healthcare customers and 4.6 times for home-based senior care customers.
The company also expanded its health service offerings linked to insurance products, including plans for critical illness and medical insurance customers, as well as membership programmes for wealth management clients.
For pension insurance customers, it continued to enhance home-based senior care services, with more than 240,000 customers eligible for such services as of end-2025.
AI adoption also reduced costs. The company reported that the cost per consultation fell by around 45% YoY in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Looking ahead, the company expects demand for healthcare services in China to grow, driven by rising health awareness and an ageing population.
It said it will continue to focus on expanding its integrated healthcare and senior care services whilst improving efficiency and returns.
