Zurich Asia Pacific clinches win at Insurance Asia Awards 2026 for AI-powered travel wardrobe generator

The AI-powered travel wardrobe generator reframes insurance as part of thoughtful travel preparation.

Insurance firm Zurich Asia Pacific landed the Travel Insurance Initiative of the Year - Singapore category win at the Insurance Asia Awards 2026 for its artificial intelligence (AI)‐powered travel wardrobe generator TravelStylist. The platform addresses a longstanding challenge in travel insurance, wherein customers often disengage from insurance during traditional point‐of‐sale interactions.

Built in‐house on Zurich Edge, TravelStylist is an AI‐powered travel engagement initiative that produces visually appealing personalised packing lists and daily outfit inspiration based on customer inputs such as destination, trip duration, and travel purpose. The experience is designed with a mobile‐first, gamified interface to encourage exploration and engagement, positioning Zurich as a helpful travel companion rather than a seller of insurance.

TravelStylist positions insurance as a key item in the packing list, incorporating a seamless, one‐click call‐to‐action to Zurich’s travel insurance digital purchase journey. This allows customers to move naturally from preparation to protection without disrupting the experience. Lead capture is embedded within the journey, ensuring Zurich can translate engagement into qualified insurance intent once customer testing and rollout are activated.

What differentiates the platform as a travel insurance initiative is its expansion of insurance’s role in the customer journey. It creates value before a trip begins, reframing insurance as part of thoughtful travel preparation rather than a reactive purchase. The platform has already been deployed in production‐ready instances and can also be rapidly scalable and customisable as white‐labelled versions designed for partner ecosystems, such as e‐commerce and digital banking.

“TravelStylist stands out because it demonstrates how travel insurance can evolve from a transactional product into an experience‐led proposition. Its combination of AI‐driven personalisation, live deployment readiness, scalable configuration, and embedded insurance pathways sets a new benchmark for how travel insurance can be introduced in a digital world,” the company said.
