Allianz bundles eSIM access with travel insurance
Eligible customers receive complimentary 1GB starter data during the limited launch period.
Allianz Partners has partnered with Singapore-based Travelgoogoo to offer eSIM connectivity benefits to eligible travel insurance customers across Asia-Pacific, as insurers expand value-added services beyond traditional cover.
Under the partnership, eligible Allianz travel insurance customers will receive access to the Travelgoogoo365 Annual Plan, which includes membership of the Travelgoogoo eSIM Travel Club.
As part of a limited-time launch offer, customers will also receive a complimentary 1GB Global Starter Data Pack.
The Travelgoogoo eSIM Travel Club provides unlimited messaging and data voice calls through platforms such as WhatsApp, LINE, Telegram, WeChat, Viber and Zalo without requiring a separate data plan across 123 destinations.
Members can also buy high-speed travel data at discounted rates when needed.
Vinay Surana, managing director for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa at Allianz Partners, said the partnership responds to growing demand from travellers for continuous connectivity throughout their journeys and complements the company's travel insurance offering.
Travelgoogoo founder and CEO Richard Bok said the partnership combines travel protection with connectivity by reducing reliance on roaming, SIM card swaps and public Wi-Fi.
The companies said they plan to explore further integration of their services, including new customer-focused offerings, as traveller expectations continue to evolve.
