AIA and MediCard combine life and health benefits

Employers can provide medical access and financial protection through a single package.

AIA Philippines and MediCard have launched Group Life + HMO, an employee benefits plan that combines life insurance and healthcare coverage.

The plan combines MediCard’s health maintenance organisation (HMO) coverage with group life insurance from AIA Philippines. 

The insurance package includes annually renewable term life insurance, total and permanent disability protection, and accidental death, dismemberment and disability coverage.

MediCard said the total and permanent disability benefit provides a lump-sum payout for disabilities caused by natural or accidental causes.

The accidental death, disability and dismemberment benefit provides an additional payout if an insured employee dies within 180 days of an accident, the company said.
