Agile appoints new compliance chief in Sydney

He has over two decades of experience in the insurance sector.

Agile Underwriting Services (Agile) has appointed Matthew Rowan as group risk and compliance officer. 

Based in Sydney, Rowan will oversee the syndicate service company, MGA operations, claims handling units, and collaboration with broking partners.

With over 25 years in the insurance sector, Rowan has held senior roles at major broking groups in Australia, including AUB Group and Steadfast. 

Most recently, he served as chief compliance officer for Aon's Australian division. Before moving to Sydney in 2020, Rowan spent a decade at Argenta Group in London, where he advanced to chief risk officer and compliance director.

Agile Syndicate 2427 is managed by Asta, a leading third-party managing agent at Lloyd's and part of the Davies Group.
