AIA HK, Macau CEO backs finance secretary's budget for financial sector

The insurer suggests tax deductions for insurance premiums to incentivise individuals to prioritise health protection.

AIA Hong Kong and Macau’s chief executive officer expressed support for the finance secretary’s budget speech for the financial services sector and promised efforts to bolster talent-hiring for the development of the insurance industry.

Fung Wai-cheung, CEO of AIA Hong Kong and Macau, emphasised the insurer’s support in initiatives like the "New Capital Investor Entry Scheme" to solidify Hong Kong's status as a global risk management hub.

Regarding sustainable financial services, the Hong Kong budget allocated an extra HK$100m for their promotion, including green finance.

On healthcare, AIA Hong Kong welcomes the government's commitment to enhancing medical services.
