AIA Singapore launches new critical illness cover for 95th year
The new plan was introduced as part of the insurer’s 95th anniversary.
AIA Singapore has launched a new critical illness plan, AIA Protect 3, as part of its 95th anniversary, targeting three of the most common serious health conditions in the country.
The plan covers cancer, heart attack and stroke, which together account for about 90% of critical illness claims in Singapore and remain the leading causes of death.
It is being offered exclusively to existing AIA policyholders, including those covered under personal or corporate plans, as well as their spouses and children.
AIA Protect 3 provides multi-stage coverage from early to major stages of illness, with protection extending up to age 85.
Policyholders who do not make a claim can receive 25% cashback on premiums at age 65 or after 15 years, whichever is later.
The launch comes as Singapore faces a reported 74% critical illness protection gap, alongside growing demand for coverage among residents aged 30 and above due to rising healthcare costs and financial uncertainty.
