Allianz Asia Pacific hires new COO

He was Prudential Malaysia’s former CTO.

Allianz Asia Pacific has announced the appointment of Kim Leng Teh as the new Regional Chief Operating Officer and member of the Board Management of Allianz Asia Pacific.

He succeeds Jon-Paul Jones who will be assuming a new position at Allianz SE as Global Head of Business Transformation in Global Commercial. Kim Leng brings tremendous expertise to his new role with over 30 years of experience. He has helmed senior leadership positions at insurance organizations, focused on driving transformational and digital-led customer-centric programs and operations.

Formerly Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad’s Chief Transformation and Operations Officer, Kim Leng will be responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of the digital agenda to optimize productivity and support business growth. He also served as Chief Technology Officer at AIA Malaysia from 2012 to 2016 and spent 13 years in ING Malaysia where his last position was Chief Information Officer.

His appointment will take effect on 1 August.
