Allianz Malaysia expands EV charging as range gaps persist
The service now reaches Penang Kuantan and Johor Bahru in 2026.
Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad (Allianz General) expanded its mobile service offerings to include electric vehicle (EV) charging and on-site windscreen replacement in more regions across Malaysia.
Allianz General’s EV Charging On-the-Go service, which is part of its EV Shield coverage, provides drivers with a 15-minute emergency charge.
This provides a travel range of up to 50km, allowing motorists to reach the nearest permanent charging station.
“The service has been well received since its inception, with the number of cases managed increasing progressively each year and early uptake continuing into the current year,” the press release said.
Whilst previously concentrated in the Klang Valley, the service is now available in Penang, Kuantan, and Johor Bahru as of early 2026.
