Anil Wadhwani joins Prudential plc as new Group CEO

Wadhwani will replace current CEO Mark FitzPatrick

Prudential plc announced that Anil Wadhwani is formally assuming his position as the new Group CEO starting 25 February.

With more than 30 years of experience in financial services, Wadhwani combined strategic vision and execution whilst working in some of the world’s biggest companies.

Before his appointment at Prudential plc, he was the CEO of Manulife Asia for five years. During his tenure, he successfully grew its multi-channel business and transformed it with significant market share gains in key markets, making it its largest source of core earnings. He also spent 25 years with Citi across the Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the US in several consumer financial services roles.

Wadhwani will replace Mark FitzPatrick, the current Group CEO, who will step down from his role on 24 February.

Wadhwani will also assume his position on the company’s Board as Executive Director and the Board of Prudential Corporation Asia Limited on 25 February.
