Aon appoints ex-Lloyd’s CEO to top Climate, Reinsurance roles

He will report to Andy Marcell, CEO of Risk Capital.

Aon appointed John Neal as Global Chairman of Climate Solutions and Global CEO of Reinsurance. 

Neal’s role will commence following the conclusion of his notice period. Based in London, he will report to Andy Marcell, CEO of Risk Capital at Aon, and join the firm’s Risk Capital leadership team.

Neal will focus on advancing Aon’s efforts to address climate-related risks and enhance the performance of its reinsurance operations. 

Neal joins Aon after serving as CEO of Lloyd’s of London since 2018. Prior to Lloyd’s, Neal held leadership roles at QBE, including Group CEO. His earlier career included founding Ensign, where he grew the company into a leading commercial motor underwriter in the UK.
