
Aon launches growth tool to help insurers benchmark performance
It enables insurers to self-assess across seven key performance categories.
Aon plc has launched the Profitable Growth Tool, a new benchmarking and advisory service aimed at helping insurers enhance performance and maintain competitiveness across market cycles.
Developed by Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group, the tool builds on the firm’s Growth Decision Framework and analysis of over 100 global re/insurers.
It enables insurers to self-assess across seven key performance categories, ranking themselves on a scale of one to five.
Results are benchmarked using Aon’s Maturity Path Model, with tailored recommendations provided to guide decision-making.
The performance categories assessed by the tool include risk appetite, speed and agility, data and analytics, underwriting, talent, distribution, and capital management.
Users of the tool can opt to work with Aon experts to examine growth opportunities, address challenges, and establish actionable strategies to drive sustainable profitability and improve market positioning.
Paul Campbell, global growth leader at Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group, noted that the tool was developed in response to widening performance gaps amongst insurers and ongoing pressures from risks such as extreme weather and geopolitical instability.
