Aon launches life and health reinsurance practice in India

Renuka Nar has been appointed head of broking for the new practice.

Aon announced the establishment of its life and health reinsurance practice in India, aiming to drive capital into the sector and enhance client decision-making.  

Renuka Nar has been appointed head of broking for the new practice and will report to Shailendra Sapra, CEO of Reinsurance Solutions in India at Aon. 

Previously with broker Howden, Nar will oversee the development of Aon’s life and health reinsurance services, business strategy, and collaboration with reinsurance markets across the Asia Pacific region.  

Neha Shah, formerly with Gen Re India, joins as the practice’s chief actuary, also reporting to Sapra. 

Shah will lead the development of Aon’s actuarial services, support strategy execution, and work with regional and international reinsurance teams.  

Clients will have access to Aon’s proprietary tools, including the Life Risk Modelling Suite powered by the GPU-based PathWise engine, which delivers solutions for pricing, projections, valuation, and hedging with speed and automation.
