Aon plc has named Sean Deehan as CEO of Strategy and Technology Group for Asia-Pacific.

Based in Hong Kong, Deehan will lead the expansion of the firm's advisory, analytics, and technology services across the region.

A primary focus of his role will be driving the adoption of Aon’s regional Life Risk Modeling Suite, specifically its PathWise platform, which is designed to automate complex calculations for life insurance and annuity actuarial teams.

Deehan joins from rival brokerage Willis Towers Watson, where he served as the Greater China divisional leader and head of Hong Kong and Macau.

His 25-year industry background includes senior executive and board positions, notably as CEO and executive director of Standard Life (Asia), with specific experience in mergers and acquisitions, actuarial leadership, and risk management.
