Thailand Post has partnered with Singapore-headquartered bolttech to launch an embedded compulsory motor insurance service.
The offering allows customers to purchase motor insurance for personal cars and trucks through Thailand Post’s nationwide network, both online and offline.
The insurance, underwritten by ERGO Insurance (Thailand), covers death, disability, loss of limb, and medical expenses for drivers, passengers, and third parties affected by road accidents.
Customers can access the policies via Thailand Post’s website or by scanning a QR code on receipts from post office transactions.
Payment methods include credit cards, online banking, QR codes, and Line Pay.
The service is available in six pilot provinces—Ayutthaya, Ang Thong, Lopburi, Sing Buri, Chainat, and Saraburi—and will expand nationwide until 31 December. Policies can also be used for vehicle tax renewal at any post office.
