
Canopius announces new APAC leadership for Casualty, Financial Lines
Brodie English and Rob Barnum have been assigned as heads.
Canopius has appointed Brodie English as head of Casualty for Australia and New Zealand, and Rob Barnum as head of Financial Lines for the Asia-Pacific region.
English, who joined Canopius three years ago, will lead the development of the Casualty portfolio across Australia and New Zealand.
He brings more than 15 years of experience in casualty underwriting and has held senior positions at AXA XL and Tokio Marine.
His focus in the new role will be on improving client delivery, aligning underwriting practices with market developments, and supporting strategic growth.
Barnum will lead the Financial Lines portfolio across APAC.
He has over a decade of experience in financial lines underwriting and portfolio management, including senior roles at XL Catlin and AXIS Capital.
Since joining Canopius just over a year ago, he has played a key role in expanding the Professional Lines portfolio in the region.
In his new role, Barnum will focus on portfolio growth, strengthening the firm’s regional presence, and delivering long-term client value.
