Canopius names Micia Yong APAC head of Property & Specialty Treaty

She brings over 16 years of experience in reinsurance underwriting and broking.

Canopius Group has appointed Micia Yong as Head of Property & Specialty Treaty for Asia Pacific, effective 4 July. 

She will be based in Singapore and report to APAC & MENA CEO Soon Keen (SK) Lee.

Yong joins from Gallagher Re Singapore, where she was Executive Director, Strategic Solutions APAC.

She brings over 16 years of experience in reinsurance underwriting and broking, with previous roles at Munich Re, Axis Specialty, and Guy Carpenter. 

At Canopius, she will oversee the APAC Property & Specialty Treaty portfolio and drive the development of tailored reinsurance solutions.
